FAQs (Frequently Asked Questions)What is the best monitor resolution setting for optimum viewing of photo images? Since all monitors are different, we recommend you temporarily reset your monitor resolution to 800x600 for best image viewing. Is custom framing available? Yes! Those of you who have viewed my work at galleries or art shows have seen that I exclusively use a variety of gold frames for best effect. I prefer not to ship framed artwork as it is very costly. However, if you would like to request a frame that you've seen on my work, I will be glad to custom frame it for you. Keep in mind that when you do your own framing, you become an integral part of the creative process. Please note that frames shown on our website galleries are for presentation purposes only. Are custom size prints available? Yes! Contact us at helen@bloomingcolorart.com to request a custom size and pricing. Our fine art floral photography is ideal for either home or office decor. Do you enhance the colors of the flowers? Absolutely not! I am simply capturing the beautiful colors of nature in natural light. No special lighting! No props! What do you mean by watercolor effects? Because my fine art floral photography is digital, I can create a custom watercolor technique based on the original photograph. Since I print my own creations with very high resolution, the finished product appears as an original watercolor painting. My series of watercolor photos are printed on textured radiant white archival watercolor paper. What is a giclee print? The word "giclee" (pronounced zhee-clay) is French, and means to spray or squirt. A giclee print is a high quality fine art print with a rich and velvety texture. The giclee process uses incredibly accurate computer controlled jets to apply ink to watercolor and other archival photo paper. A print is produced one at a time with full artist participation. Giclees have a higher resolution than offset lithography and offer a greater color range. These prints should be framed under glass with U.V. filtering and not displayed directly in the sunlight. Estimated life of giclee prints is 100+ years. Gicless on stretched canvas are also offered. The glossy canvases are U.V. coated, gallery wrapped and do not need frames. What are limited editions? The 12 x 18 and 18 x 24 giclee prints are all part of a limited edition of 95 prints. Each are numbered, hand-signed and come with a Certificate of Authenticity. When they sell out, a small number of artist's proofs will be made available. What materials are used? UltraChrome archival inks are used on all prints and note cards. They are guaranteed not to fade or discolor and have a life span of 100+ years under glass. Watercolor effects photographs and note cards are printed on Epson Archival Radiant White Textured Watercolor Paper. All other photos are printed on Epson Premium Luster Photo Paper. All matting is acid-free and of museum quality. Each photo and note card has title and contact information on the back. The giclees on stretched canvas are printed on Epson PremierArt Water Resistant Canvas and are U.V. coated after printing to create a durable, glossy finish. How do I order and pay for matted prints and note cards? Each gallery has the option of clicking on a thumbnail image to see an enlarged version with its title.
