BIOGRAPHY
From the time I was a child with my first Brownie camera, my favorite subject to photograph was flowers. Some things never change. Today, in addition to being the successful owner of Sandcastle Advertising for over 30 years, I am once again pursuing my fondest joy - photographing flowers. This time, instead of my Brownie, I am doing it digitally as Blooming Color.
Capturing the glorious color and essence of a flower's natural beauty is a passion I enjoy sharing with others. The color and depth of my work tends to amaze everyone especially since I don't enhance the flower's natural colors. As strange as it seems, when evaluating my creations on my computer, in my mind, I can actually smell the flowers!
In addition to fine art floral photography, I am proud to introduce two new series featured in Galleries 8 and 9: THE BARNS COLLECTION and THE SEASHELL COLLECTION. I am available for custom commission photographic projects. My photography has been featured in several art galleries including: The Mellon Gallery in Arcadia, The Fred Kavli Theatre in Thousand Oaks, The Thousand Oaks Community Gallery in Newbury Park and The Kraft Gallery in Los Angeles.
My limited editions are offered in a variety of formats - traditional photography, watercolor renditions and giclees on stretched canvas. My photographic creations are available matted in a variety of sizes. Each photo is offered in a gift-boxed set of hand-signed note cards. I use a professional Nikon digital camera which provides incredible detail and color vibrant images. All images are printed on an Epson high resolution printer with UltraChrome archival inks. These inks are guaranteed not to fade and have an estimated 100+ years life under glass. All custom framed photos are mounted, signed, numbered and have a Certificate of Authenticity.
I received my Bachelor of Arts Degree from California State University at Northridge. I reside in West Los Angeles, California with my husband, son, 2 Australian Shepherds and 8 turtles and tortoises.
Thank you for your interest in my fine art photography.
